Joint ventures, associates
and subsidiaries
TIDC
TII has entered into a joint venture with
Borg Warner Morse TEC, USA, for the production of timing and silent
chains. It has entered into a technology agreement with Tsubakimoto
Chains Company, Japan, for engineering class chains. It has also
entered into a strategic alliance with Enuma Chain Mfg Co Ltd, Japan,
for training of personnel and product testing of motorcycle drive
and industrial chains. Collaborative research is being conducted
at IISC, Bangalore, IOWA State University and IIT Madras.
TIMF has a technical collaboration with Dongwon
Metal Ind Co Ltd of South Korea for the manufacture of door frames
for Hyundai's Santro, Accent and Verna cars.
