Financial Results for the Quarter ended December 31, 2011
The consolidated turnover for the three quarters ended 31st December, 2011 was Rs. 8770.20 crore (Rs. 7390.00 crore). The Profit After Tax before Minority Interest for the three quarters ended stood at Rs. 354.23 crore (Rs. 409.39 crore).
Sugar Division (including Subsidiaries)
During the quarter, 14.19 lakh MT of cane was crushed as compared to 6.12 lakh MT in the corresponding period of 2010-11. During the quarter, sugar production was 1.37 Lakh MT (0.58 Lakh MT).
The Power exported was 813 lakh units to the Grid compared to 662 lakh units for the corresponding period of 2010-11.
The Sugar division reported a loss of Rs. 36.68 crore for the quarter (Loss of Rs. 43.59 crore).
Bio-products (including subsidiaries)
During the quarter, the Bio-products Division (comprising of Bio-Pesticides and Nutraceuticals) registered a profit of Rs.1.65 Crore (PY: Rs. 0.33 Crore).
During the quarter, Farm Inputs Division registered a gross income from operations of Rs. 2,550.08 Crore as against Rs. 2,023.20 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The Farm Inputs Division reported a profit (PBIT) of Rs. 216.74 Crore for the quarter as compared with Rs. 238.07 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the year 2010-11.
