M.M. Murugappan is the Executive Chairman of the Murugappa Corporate Advisory Board. He is the Chairman of Group companies Tube Investments of India Ltd, Carborundum Universal Ltd and Coromandel International Ltd. He serves as a Trustee of the AMM Foundation and the Correspondent of the Murugappa Polytechnic College. He is also on the board of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (Mumbai), and Cyient Ltd (Hyderabad). He is a Member on the Board of IIT Madras-Research Park and provides guidance to many companies incubated there.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the AC College of Technology, University of Madras, and a Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, USA. He is a member of the American and Indian Institutes of Chemical Engineers, the Indian Ceramic Society and the Plastics and Rubber Institute.

N. Srinivasan is the Lead Director – Financial Services Group (FSG) of the Murugappa Corporate Advisory Board. He is also the Executive Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Limited (Chola). He is a graduate in Commerce, and an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He has 33 years of experience in the areas of corporate finance, legal, projects and general management. He is a Director on the Boards of TI Financial Holdings Limited (Formerly Tube Investments of India Ltd.), Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Ltd. and Cholamandalam MS Risk Services Limited. Earlier, he was the CFO of Carborundum Universal Ltd and was associated with corporates like BHEL and Thiru Arooran Sugars Ltd.
Ramesh K.B. Menon joined the Murugappa Corporate Advisory Board on 1st July, 2013. He is a science graduate from Jai Hind College, Mumbai, and has completed his post-graduation from XLRI Jamshedpur. Ramesh has had a long and distinguished career with Madura Coats, where he has handled various assignments in India and has also been responsible for international locations. He brings with him considerable depth as well as width of experience. Prior to joining the Murugappa Group, he was the Director-HR of Coats, South Asia.
V. Ravichandran is the Lead Director- Fertiliser and Sugar of the Murugappa Corporate Advisory Board. He is an engineering graduate with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad. He is also a Cost Accountant and a Company Secretary. After a brief stint with Ashok Leyland, he joined the Group in October 1985 in EID Parry. Ravichandran served with distinction in the Finance function of EID Parry, in the Farm Inputs Division (FIND), in Corporate and in businesses such as Confectionery. He took up a general management role as GM-Pesticides in 1994. In 2003, with the merger of FIND and Coromandel Fertilisers Ltd (CFL) he moved to CFL as Vice President – FIND. He was promoted as Wholetime Director in 2004 and took over as Managing Director of the company in 2006.

Mr Uday Khanna is a non-executive External Director of the Murugappa Corporate Advisory Board. Currently Chairman Bata India Ltd., he also serves on the Boards of Castrol India Ltd., Pfizer Ltd., NRB Bearings Ltd., Pidilite Industries Limited and DSP BlackRock Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd. He was the non-executive Chairman of Lafarge India Private Limited till September 2014 and prior to that he was Managing Director & CEO Lafarge India from July 2005 to July 2011. He joined the Lafarge Group in Paris in June 2003 as Senior Vice President for Group Strategy, after a long experience of almost 30 years with Hindustan Lever/ Unilever. His last position before joining Lafarge, was Senior Vice President Finance, Unilever- Asia, based in Singapore. He has earlier been on the Board of Hindustan Unilever as Director –Exports after having served as Financial Controller and Treasurer of the company. He had also worked as Vice Chairman of Lever Brothers in Nigeria and General Auditor for Unilever-North America based in the USA.

Mr. Uday Khanna is a Chartered Accountant. He was the President of the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2008 & 2009 and the President of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2012-2013.

Ishaat Hussain is a non-executive External Director of the Murugappa Corporate Advisory Board. He served as the Finance Director of Tata Sons from July 2000. After retiring from that position, he continues as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Tata Sons. He is the Chairman of Tata AIA Life Insurance Company, Voltas and Tata Sky. He is also a Director of several Tata companies, including Tata Industries, TCS and Tata Steel. He is also the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Committee on Disclosures and Accounting. Prior to joining Tata Sons in 1999, he was Senior Vice President and Executive Director – Finance at Tata Steel for almost 10 years. He joined the Board of Indian Tube Company (a Tata Steel associate company) in 1981, and moved to Tata Steel in 1983, after Indian Tube was merged with Tata Steel. A Chartered Accountant from England and Wales, Ishaat Hussain attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.

Dr Janmejaya Sinha is a non-executive External Director of the Murugappa Corporate Advisory Board. Dr Sinha is the Boston Consulting Group’s chairman of the Asia-Pacific region and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He is also a member of the BCG Henderson Institute’s Innovation Sounding Board, which is dedicated to supporting, inspiring, and guiding upstream innovation at BCG.

He has worked extensively with clients across the globe on a range of issues encompassing large-scale organisation transformation, strategy, governance, family business issues, and operations turnaround.

Dr Sinha has been a member of various committees set up by the government of India, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and Indian Banks Association (IBA), and he serves as chair of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Committee on Financial Inclusion. He also has been a member of the Chief Minister’s Bihar State Industrial and Investment Advisory Council.

He was named one of the top 25 most influential consultants in the world by Consulting Magazine in 2010, and has contributed a chapter to the BCG book Own the Future: 50 Ways to Win from The Boston Consulting Group. He is a co-author of the book Your Strategy Needs A Strategy, published by Harvard Business Review Press.

Prior to joining BCG, he worked with the RBI across departments.

Dr Sinha holds a Ph.D from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University, US, a BA and an MA in Economics from Clare College, Cambridge University, UK, and a BA and an MA in History from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University, India.
