::: Many Things to Many People :::
Customisation is the USP that Parry Murray, a subsidiary of the Murugappa Group, brings to its wide range of textiles and fabrics for soft furnishings. What started out as an Indian manufacturing and trading house registered in London, has now established a firm foothold in the worldwide market for bespoke fabrics.
Hand-woven fabrics — made from top-quality raw materials, including natural fibres – for furnishings have long been the speciality of the company. We now supply the premium design-conscious segment of the market, including many global brands.
Our myriad fabrics and designs are visualised in our London office – a creative hub, focusing on cutting edge trends and fashion forward designs. These are combined with the heritage of our Indian craft base and executed by able hands at our factories across southern India, creating diverse collections aimed at the western markets.
Over the years, we have worked on augmenting our strengths in this tradition of textiles by playing to our advantages. Apart from adapting the best in technology to our heritage of hand-woven fabrics, we have optimally located our various facilities. Our main facility for manufacturing is located at Kannur in Kerala – the backyard for hand weaving for decades. Similarly, we have age old traditional hand guided embroidery & hand block printing, done at our Delhi operations which, embellishes our handmade fabrics & enhances the beauty of a truly hand crafted fabric. We have also set up a state-of-the-art modern weaving facility in Mysore.
Apart from this customised fabric manufacturing, we also create cushions, table linen and home accessories at our modern sewing unit, also located in Kannur.
Our synergy with Ambadi Enterprises of the Group, that works solely with and for Parry Murray is a unique partnership in the textiles world. In 1988, the Group helped set up a dedicated production unit in India. The unit currently encompasses three production centres, all managed by Ambadi, working alongside the London office, from development to manufacturing.
